Reading Camp
We need your help! Our third graders are going to have one half day of Reading Camp in the Lincoln courtyard. The camp day is scheduled for Monday, June 3rd from 12:45-3:30pm. We
are still in need of several camp volunteers. Please click on the Sign-Up Genius linksheet if you
are available from 12:45-3:30. All materials and directions will be provided! Your child would
love it if you could come!
Swimming
What a fun week we had swimming at the St. Joseph High School! I know everyone was disappointed that the week had to end. Students learned so much about water safety and basic swimming techniques and many became so much more confident in the water by the end of the week.
Field Day
Lincoln School Field Day will be this Friday. Students will be participating in different outdoor games and events throughout the day. Please watch the weather and make sure your child
comes dressed appropriately for the day. Tennis shoes must be worn. Students wearing
sandals will not be allowed to participate. Also, please send a large safety pin to school with
your child so that he/she can collect the ribbons.
Kiwanis Park
On Tuesday, June 4th, the K-4th grade classes will go to Kiwanis Park. We will be walking with
our Kindergarten buddy class. We plan to leave school around 11:00 and return around 2:00.
We will be eating lunch at the park and playing for a little while. Please send your child’s lunch
in a paper or plastic bag that can be thrown away when lunch is over so we don’t have to keep track of lunch boxes. If your child would like to order a sack lunch from our kitchen, please complete the form that was sent home on Thursday and return it by Tuesday, May 28th.
Parent are welcome to walk with us or meet us there.
Multiplication Ice Cream Quizzes
Our multiplication quiz challenge for learning Multiplication facts is almost over! We will celebrate with an ice cream party after Kiwanis on June 4th. Please continue to work with your child on multiplication 0-10 if they have not passed all the multiplication levels.
